Great Ormond Street Hospital LogoFollowing last year’s success, Gambado Chelsea will be hosting another children’s party on Wednesday 29th September to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Organised into two sessions, from 9.30am-12.00pm for pre-schoolers (under fives) and an afternoon tea party from 3.30pm-6pm (all children up to 10 years old), it promises to be a fun-filled day at the ultimate family play centre. From the giant play frame to the climbing wall to the dodgems your little adventurers won’t want to stop!

All proceeds will go towards two new operating theatres to help children with complex neurological and craniofacial conditions at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Soybean Fibre: Soybean protein fibre is a sustainable and botanical textile fibre made from renewable and biodegradable natural resources – the leftover soybean pulp from tofu and soymilk production. Its 16 amino acids are healthy and nutritional for our skin. It is a green textile fibre that possesses the superiorities of many natural and synthesized fibres.

From Soy to Fibre:
1. Proteins are extracted from the leftover materials of tofu or soy milk production.

2. Protein liquids are forced through a device resembling a shower head, called a spinneret, to make liquid soy. This is called wet-spinning.

3. Liquid soy is solidified to make soybean protein fibre. After protein is extracted from the leftover soybean pulp, it can be used as fertilizer. All substances used in the production of soybean protein fibre are of a harmless nature (thus can be used as fertilizer).

Benefits of Soy: Soybean fibre is a soft, light, and smooth protein fibre. It is smoother than cashmere and has the same moisture absorption as cotton but with a better moisture transmission, making it more comfortable on the skin.
